Congratulations on becoming a Sunfire TD!

Hosting a tournament can be a fun experience, so here are a few things to help you create a great tourney page!

By now, one of the HTDs should have taken you through the steps to create a tournament- remember to always set your number of rounds to 8 in single elim, and your time between rounds to 20 minutes :-)

There's a link on the left that leads to a page full of many helpful links, one of which will take you to the training center- remember to log in with the names provided on the page NOT your own ID!

When you go to your tourney administration page, set your seeding to random and open registration.... I have a tendency to forget those two steps, so I thought I'd remind you.

Now for what you really want to know.... where can I upload photos to for my tourney pages? The easy answer: Photobucket. It's free, and you can even browse through everyone else's uploads by using a key word to find all the pictures you could ever want. Tip- keep the photo titles very short. Paste the direct link for your photo into the box for top image link.

Next, how do I add music to my tourney page? Another free web site! m-u-s-i-c-c-o-d-e-s.com. From their start page, scroll down to banners, and click on "click here for banner codes". Copy the code for the smallest one and paste it into the html box in "customize tournament layout". Then enter the site, pick out your song, and paste the code for that right after the banner code. Voila- music.

For background, text, and link colors, TD's helping TD's is a most helpful site. Or, you can use free premade tourney pages. Just browse though the links in the Helpful links page!

When you are all done customizing, you will need to Edit Tourney Rules- click on the link from your Tournament administration page to open the Editor. The link on the left will give you a whole ton of stuff to copy and paste into the HTML box- click the box to make these your default rules, and you'll never have to mess with the rules again!
